| Forum UNESCO-University and Heritage (FUUH) is a UNESCO project for undertaking activities to protect and safeguard the cultural and natural heritage, through an informal network of higher education institutions. FUUH is under the joint responsibility of the UNESCO World Heritage Centre and the Polytechnic University of Valencia (UPV) Spain. Theme: "Heritage Management: Center and Periphery" Buenos Aires, 11 - 15 October 2004 This event is sponsored by UNESCO World Heritage Fund, the National Commission of Argentina for UNESCO, Argentine Culture Secretariats, the Buenos Aires City Government, ICOMOS--Argentina, the Sociedad Central de Arquitectos and Consejo Profesional de Arquitectura y Urbanismo. The Seminar proposed overall theme is the different perspectives in heritage management of the center and periphery or sites, whether of World, national or local significance. We believe that the coming debate will contribute to the social, cultural and economic development of heritage sites. This seminar will offer an exceptional opportunity to present, evaluate and compare different conceptions and solutions spawning from cultural diversity. Thematic workshops will be organized during the seminar on proposed areas.
