FUUH is under the joint responsibility of the UNESCO World Heritage Centre and the Polytechnic University of Valencia (UPV), Spain. This internet website is not an official site of UNESCO but a website created and managed by the UPV within the framework of the project FUUH.

Summary:

After it’s first edition at Meknès (RIPAM1 – 2005) and the second edition at Marrakech (RIPAM2 – 2007), the honour is now up to Lisbon and to the Lusíada University to receive RIPAM3 – 2009.

The 3rd INTERNATIONAL MEETING ON ARCHITECTURAL HERITAGE OF THE MEDITERRANEAN which will be held in Lisbon Lusíada University, Portugal, 15-17 October 2009, will present an opportunity for reviewing major events and developments related to Mediterranean Architectural Heritage. As its main goal, the meeting of cultures whose cradle is the Mediterranean Sea, bringing awareness to the major discoveries and achievements that involve the architectural heritage and, at the same time, refers to the Mediterranean Culture.

Therefore, it is intended that, in an interdisciplinary way, all those involved in creating, protecting and safeguarding the architectural heritage may gather around the concept of Mediterranean Culture as the unifying cradle of numerous civilizations, while still full of diversity, encounters, antitheses and, foremost, plural.

PAPERS

Authors wishing to present papers or posters should submit abstracts of about 1000 words stating clearly and concisely the purpose of the paper, the method of approach, significant results and conclusions. The names, affiliations and emails of all Authors should be included. The extended abstract should be forwarded by 31 March 2009 to ripam3.papers@lis.ulusiada.pt ATT: Mr. González, Filipe (Architect MSc.)

The official languages of the Conference are English, French and Portuguese with simultaneous translation.
