| Summary: |
In Marseilles, 8 and 9 November, in the amphitheatre of the Provence-Alps
region - Côte d'Azur, near 330 people (scientists, experts,
agents of the land, decision makers, owners, policymakers, hunters,
hikers…) meet around the Mediterranean wood association to
discuss the future of our Mediterranean woods within the framework
of the climate change.
The objective of this two-day colloquium is to increase awareness
on the fact that the change is already taking place and that it
should be taken into consideration and its effects anticipated,
in order to help the ecosystems to adapt. Of course, it is necessary
to mobilize it to the extent of the impacts of the human activities
on the planet, but it is also necessary to act whenever possible,
to go with an unavoidable change in our enviroment, in a sense that
it is acceptable by everyone.
