The IALE France 2007 Conference will constitute the fourth of
its kind since its creation in 2001 of IALE France, national variation
of IALE (International Association for Landscape Ecology). It will
be held in French. The three preceding conferences took place in
Gap in 2003, Marseilles in 2005 and Rennes in 2006.
This event will last four days, from November 20 to 23, 2007; it
will consists in days of scientific presentations on landscape ecology
between which it will be inserted one day of forum of exchanges
between scientists and professional partners of the forest, agriculture
and landscapes; the fourth day will be devoted to one-day excursion
to one of the sites of study of UMR DYNAFOR in Comminges.
These days will constitute a place of information exchange for
scientists on the recent projections regarding research in landscape
ecology. But the original event of this demonstration will be the
forum: it will constitute an opportunity for the professionals of
landscape of the Mid-Pyrenees to meet and discuss with the scientists
on the evolution of the territories.
The participants will be the French-speaking scientists on landscape
ecology and managers concerned with the management of woods and
landscape mosaics.
This event will have as a principal subject the role of the forest
elements in rural landscapes.
