This conference aims to bring together all relevant local and regional key-actors
and scientists in order to discuss and identify the priorities in research to support
national and regional strategies on water saving in the Mediterranean region.

The Conference will include the following thematic sessions:

• water use efficiency and water productivity
• irrigation systems performance and management
• use of non-conventional water resources in irrigated agriculture
• innovative approaches and tools for water saving
• socio-economic and environmental aspects of sustainable water management
• institutional and policy dimensions of water saving
• integrated strategies for water saving in Mediterranean region
• Euro-Mediterranean cooperation: building up common water saving policies, strategies and priorities.
