This exhibition, comprising 28 large-scale photographs, will showcase
this richness of this Nabateaan site, which is inscribed on Saudi
Arabia's Tentative List of World Heritage sites.
Mada’in Saleh or Al-Hijr, located in AI-Medina Al-Munawarah
Province in northwest Saudia Arabia along the legendary Spice Road
(also known as the Frankincense Route), was a major staging post
on the historic Northern Arabia trade routes.
The inauguration of the exhibition will take place on 6 September
in the presence of Mr Koïchiro Matsuura, Director-General of
UNESCO, and His Royal Highness Prince Sultan Bin Salman Bin Abdulaziz,
Secretary General of Saudi Arabia’s Supreme Commission for
Tourism (SCT).
