Thirty trainees (15 in the field of tour guiding and 15 in site
management) from both private and public tourism sectors will attend
the training-the-trainers workshop for the Greater Mekong Sub-Region
(GMS). Representatives from the tourism and heritage sectors from
the GMS member countries have also been invited to the workshop.
The workshop, organized by UNESCO in collaboration with UNESCAP
(United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the
Pacific), seeks to enable participants to train the tour guides
and site managers in their province.
