In the Historical Center of the City of Cienfuegos, recognized
as part of the world heritage in July 2005, it will take place the
3rd symposium of world heritage Cuban cities and sites.
The first edition of this meeting, unique of its type in Cuba,
as it gathers the administrators of the eight world heritage Cuban
sites, took place short after the announcement of the world declaration
in the same month of July 2005.
The meeting counts on the participation of the UNESCO Havana office
and is organized annually by the Office of the Conservator of that
City, directed by architect Irán Millán. In this edition,
in addition to the usual tours, case analyses and other informal
meetings, the program includes among other topics, a balance of
the work carried out in Cienfuegos "Second year of the declaration:
achievements and deficiencies "the projection of a multimedia
presentation on the Urban Historical Center of Cienfuegos and presentations
on" the Caribbean and its World Heritage "; as well as
discussions on other presentations of the other world heritage Cuban
sites and visits to work sites.
