Forum UNESCO-University and Heritage (FUUH) is an UNESCO Project for undertaking activities to protect and safeguard the cultural and natural heritage, through an informal networkof higher education institutions. FUUH is under the joint responsibility of the UNESCO World Heritage Centre and the Polytechnic University of Valencia (UPV), Spain. Summary:

The National Seminar on Cultural Statistics and Indicators in Costa Rica (San José, 27 and 28 of September 2007) will be organized by the Ministry of Culture and Youth of Costa Rica in cooperation with UNESCO San José with the purpose of advancing in the creation of conditions and the formalization of agreements of interinstitutional cooperation for the training of the Costa Rican chapter of a subregional system of cultural indicators (statistical, indicators, satellite accounts and prospective).

The activity that supports the subregional effort that UNESCO San José has fostered with the Central America Educative and Cultural Coordination (CECC) and will count on the participation of professionals from financial institutions and people responsible for the management of the national information of the Government of Costa Rica (MIDEPLAN, Central bank, the Institute of Statistic and Census (INEC), in addition to representatives of the Culture Sector and cooperation organisms of the subregion. In addition, institutes and similar academic centers will be invited.
