Attachment: Call for presentation.pdf
Summary: BUILDING BLOCKS will highlight the many layered approach to interpretation and present the latest thinking on a range of topics around good practice interpretive planning and techniques.
Building Blocks will bring together a compelling mixture of Australasian and international speakers to provoke debate on contemporary issues in heritage interpretation such as:
  • conflicting perceptions;
  • the challenge of Generation Y;
  • interpretive public art;
  • and moveable heritage.

Plus, generate discussion relating to the complex interactions between natural, Aboriginal and built heritage. The conference will include on-site workshops and field trips to some of the most interesting and challenging cultural sites, museums and landscapes in Sydney. Irresistible pre and post-conference tours are being developed to engage delegates and extend dialogue.

The Conference Planning Team is seeking proposals for presentations and workshops for the upcoming BUILDING BLOCKS Conference. We encourage everyone to take part to share their knowledge, skills, expertise and other interpretive BUILDING BLOCKS with the many delegates that will be attending the conference from Australia and overseas.

Submissions are due 31 May 2007
