Francesa in full traditional dress
This capacity-building workshop is intended for the bearers of
La Tumba de Catalina de Ricci, also known as “La Pompadour”,
one of the three traditional expressions of the Tumba tradition
still practised in Cuba.
This is the third and final workshop in a series of training sessions
held in Santiago de Cuba (20–22 November 2006) and in Holguin
(27–28 March 2007), in the framework of the UNESCO action
plan for the safeguarding of La Tumba Francesa, the first Cuban
Masterpiece of the Oral and Intangible Heritage of Humanity. |
