Summary:

Cultural diversity represents today a major theme in cultural actions and policies. Cultural managers within their projects have no choice but take into account cultural diversity. And this on all levels: the Nation States with the ratification of the UNESCO Convention for the diversity of cultural expressions or the local territories with the creation of the Agendas 21 Culture supported by United Cities and Local Governments (CGLU).

This new subject matter requires a calling up of extended set of skills from cultural actors. How should it be integrated in curricula? What specific methodologies trainers should develop?

These questions will be discussed in the Seminar organised in Lyon by ENCATC and Lyon2 University the next 27th and 28th March with the support of CGLU and the Grenoble Observatory of cultural policy.

We strongly advise you to participate to this meeting to share experience and define the type of skills and knowledge required for actions in this field of cultural diversity.
