The UNESCO Office in Venice opens its doors to two public conferences
on underwater and artistic heritage entitled “Venetian Ship
Relics: from Venice to Ireland” and “Dante and the Music”.
The lecture entitled “Venetian Ship Relics: from Venice
to Ireland” (I relitti delle navi Veneziane: da Venezia all’Irlanda)
is part of a series of public lectures organized by Mr M. Zaggia,
President of the Club UNESCO of Venice and hosted by UNESCO-BRESCE
(UNESCO Office in Venice – UNESCO Regional Bureau for Science
and Culture in Europe). The guest speaker is Carlo Beltrame, professor
of Maritime Archaeology at the University of Venice-Cà Foscari.

“Dante and the Music” (“Dante e la Musica”)
is the subject of the February’s installment in the series
of public lectures organized by Mrs. Tamiozzo
Goldmann of the Venice Chapter of the Dante Alighieri Society and
is hosted by UNESCO- BRESCE. The guest speaker is Professor Guarnier,
who teaches Italian literature at the University of Venice-Cà
Foscari.
